So I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Conflicted Love by Lola Stark and let me just tell you, she makes it better and better. I first got introduced to Miss Lola by a CM Stunich release party; with her first novel, Tattered Love. Instantly hooked. With Tattered Love, I was on an emotional roller coaster with Mace and Scarlett's love story. So when I found out She had a second book of the Needle's Kiss Series coming our way, I got SUPER excited!!!! And it was about Teeny & Trip (swoon).
In Conflicted Love, You are Following Teeny (Scarlett's Bestie) & Trip (Mace's Little Brother) who secretly both have an attraction for one another, but fought it off for years. Well one drunken night, caution is thrown to the wind and a one night stand happens. Only It changes everything.... Their Journey reminds me of My own with my soul-mate and it made me laugh and cry and scream (mainly at Teeny!) But I love these two. I can relate to Teeny in so many ways it is crazy. I also enjoyed watching Trip grow into his character and become the man I saw in Tattered Love. And ohmygod, The sex scenes are so amazing!!!! Steamy, Rough and just play enjoyable to read. It made me want to shower after just reading them!!!
I will leave you with my absolute favorite moment from the book.
Ahh Shit, the nerved got the best of me and I started to ramble, "Is It Broken? Oh God, it's broken, isn't it? Fuck Me! You know, mom never could give me anything as a kid. Toys,I'd break 'em. New clothes. I'd mess 'em. Now, I fuck up my favorite part of my woman! Goddamn it! Tell me it'll be okay, Doc!" I rambled looking for assurance that my happy place was going to come out the other side okay.
I highly recommend going over to amazon or Nook or whatever e-reader you have to look up Lola Stark. She is a great author and a new favorite of mine. I want to thank her for the opportunity to read it before everyone else and can't wait for the rest of the world to fall in love with Teeny & Trip. It's a definite Add to your Goodreads TBR list... It is Due out Dec. 27th!!!!
